Toyota works hard to make sure its lineup gives drivers reliable transportation that will not only keep them safe in an accident, but will help keep one from happening in the first place. Here’s a snapshot of some of Toyota’s safety features.
One of Toyota’s advanced safety technologies is the Safety Sense system. This system helps protect not only drivers and passengers, but people in other vehicles and pedestrians as well. It comes in a variety of forms with different combinations of features, ranging from automated pre-collision warning and braking to Automatic High Beams and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
Every Toyota vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Stability Control to help keep drivers in control by preventing wheel-slip and loss of traction. The system is constantly monitoring data from the anti-lock brakes and a steering wheel sensor to ensure the vehicle is following the driver’s inputs.
In addition to these and many other features, Toyota safety engineers are continually working on new technology to make vehicles even safer. Toyota also shares its safety technology with other companies to ensure better safety for everyone on the road.
Finally, Toyota uses educational programs to teach drivers, both novices and long-time drivers how to be better behind the wheel.
